Who I Am
I have over 19 years diverse work experience in the care sector with both adults and children and 8 years of registered Social Work practice.
This has included working within Duty & Assessment, Safeguarding and Court teams, as well as a Family Court Advisor for Cafcass and more recently I am a Guardian for NYAS in private law proceedings. I have experience conducting enhanced screening, assessing risk and making key decisions to safeguard vulnerable children and their families following referral to MASH. I am proficient in leading coordinated preventative action, early help response and services provision in alignment with children’s identified needs. I am also highly skilled in conducting multi-agency risk assessments, case recording, making threshold decisions, signposting locality services and writing clear and accurate statements for court, including both initial and final evidence as well as private law reports.
I have significant experience completing Section 47 Child Protection Investigations, giving evidence in court, conducting home visits for monitoring and safeguarding purposes, chairing Core Group Meetings and initiating and managing Care Proceedings. I am highly skilled in implementing and reviewing Care Plans, writing Conference Reports, producing Child Permanence Reports, preparing Court Care Plans and developing and monitoring Child in Need plans. I also have experience completing investigations in partnership with the police, including Achieving Best Evidence interviews. I maintain a rigorous and up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding processes through attending training, as well as reflecting on theory and legislation that informs practice.

Child Contact Issues and Parental Separation
I aim to bring together families where it provides a positive environment in which children and parents can thrive. I am able to provide services directly to separated families who need a little assistance in ensuring that contact, handovers, and ongoing child arrangements are safe and managed in the best interests of the child or children.
In cases where one parent has made allegations against the other parent but there are no serious and proven welfare issues, I would be available to supervise or support contact and/or handovers for child arrangements.
I can offer a bespoke service which is centred around supervision of a parent and child or children during contact time. This can take place at the parent’s home or in the community. Following the contact I would provide an independent written report about the contact or handovers that have taken place and supplied to both parents and the court/legal representatives where applicable.
I am also able to complete
Section 7 reports, risk assessments for contact.
